FARMINGTON, AR — Brian Hester announced his campaign for the position of State Representative for District 22. The newly redrawn Representative District 22, as-a-result of decennial redistricting, encompasses portions of west Fayetteville and the majority of Farmington.
“The states are the last line of defense from Washington DC’s attack on our freedom and liberty. Now, more than ever, we need elected officials who will stand against government mandates and push back against threats to our personal liberties,” stated Hester. “As a small business owner, I will stay focused on how we can make government more efficient and responsive to the people, while holding the line on spending and taxes. Letting taxpayers keep more of their hard-earned money will be my focus in the state legislature," Hester explained.
Hester attended the University of Arkansas before beginning a career in property appraisal in 2001. He opened his own appraisal business in 2007. Today, Brian is a member of the Arkansas Realtors Association and the National Association of Realtors (NAR). He served as a board member on the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board, where he fought for lower licensure and renewal fees. Hester was previously endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Businesses and is a life-long member of the National Rifle Association.
“Having the opportunity to possibly serve the people of Washington County at the state level is very exciting,” Hester said. “I look forward to engaging my friends, neighbors, and community to listen to their concerns. I want to make sure their state Government is focused on working for them, and carrying out its role effectively." Hester concluded.
